Venue Coordinator: Volunteers in this position will go through an interview process and be asked to provide references. Volunteers will be assigned a specific venue and will manage Retail/Cash register volunteer orientation, check-ins with stage management volunteers, and check-ins with hospitality volunteers. Must have experience with volunteer or event management. Will work between 30-45 hours throughout the festival.
Transportation: Transport supplies and performers as needed throughout the weekend. Must be familiar with Portland and have access to your own car with a clean driving record.
Transportation Pre and Post Festival: Pick up and drop off donations as well as performers to and from the airport. Must be familiar with Portland and have access to your own car with a clean driving record.
Stage management: Stage Management volunteers will be assigned to a specific venue and show times. Responsible for checking in performers, starting the show on time, and indicating to performers when their time is running out/has run out. Volunteers in this position should have some backstage experience, and be confident in their role.
Retail/cash register: Volunteers will be assigned to a specific venue and will sell tickets, collect money and tickets, and check for all access badges. Volunteers should have some money handling background and feel comfortable in crowded and sometimes chaotic feeling environments.
Hospitality: Volunteers will be assigned a specific venue and will ensure that the green rooms are stocked, as well as some clean up and set up responsibilities.
Security: Various positions throughout the festival during the evening and late into the night. Volunteers should have some security/bouncing experience.
After-hours positions: Assist in a variety of ways at the close of the festival each night. Typical shift times will vary between the hours of 11am - 6am. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and not be frightened of some cleaning responsibilities.
Cleaning Crew: Volunteers in this position with reset the after party venue for the following evening's activities. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and not be afraid to get dirty. Shifts are usually 12-2pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
